You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.—-Isaiah 26:3
Seeking to please God should be our primary priority and main focus. There are so many thoughts, ideas, tasks and responsibilities that are pulling us in many different directions throughout the day. It’s easy to become distracted, overwhelmed, frustrated with thoughts scattered all over the place and accomplishing very little or accomplished much and being exhausted and burn out. It’s important to remain focused throughout the day and in the presence of God seeking him to help us set the pace and prioritize the day. Too much planning and trying to control every detail can cause anxiety, cause us to lose peace, lose focus and eventually become mentally exhausted, burn out and shut down. A daily rat race accomplishes nothing. Remaining in continuous communication with the Spirit of God and following his direction and guidance gives us peace and we are able to accomplish so much more and God gets more glory from our lives when we place our needs, thoughts, and decisions into his hands and let him help us to prioritize and work out the details. So sit back, take a deep breathe, and ask God to guide you with activities during the course of the day. Take quiet time out the day for meditation and silent prayer. Meditate on the goodness of God and all the mighty and wonderful things that he has done.
